MAINTENANCE
SOEW Maintenance department strives to provide a reliable maintenance and breakdown service programme to the production and machinery departments, to ensure that the cable produced is of the highest standard and most efficient.
Through an upgrading and replacement programme, we are able to replace machinery and components accordingly.
We employ new technology in the plant to enhance the quality of machinery supplied to production, and ensure that the production targets can be realized, and thus ensuring that Company remains competitive in the market place.

South Ocean Electric Wire Company (PTY) LTD is totally committed to providing quality products and efficient service to our customers, whilst developing our people and expanding our market.
SOEW Laboratory and Testing stations form part of the Quality Assurance Department. This department work according to SANS 1507, SANS 1574 and SANS 1576.
The Quality department is responsible for the testing, measuring and recording of all finished products and to verify compliance with internal and external standards as applicable.
The necessary action is taken when occasionally a product is found to be non-conforming or deviates from the standard product.
In addition to the above, periodic samples are sent to SABS NEFTA Testing facilities for mark verification.
All measuring and testing equipment are calibrated by the SABS and other SANAS approved laboratories.
